This Python script demonstrates how to use PLAXIS 2023.1’s new functionality to retrieve results from a cross section created in the PLAXIS Output program. The script is compatible with both PLAXIS 2D and 3D. It requires activating the Remote Scripting Server within PLAXIS Output to allow programmatic access.
Script Workflow:
Initialize PLAXIS environment and connect to Output via Remote Scripting.
Open the desired project and select a specific phase.
Define and plot a cross section.
Extract geotechnical results from that cross section.
Save results to a .txt file for further processing.
